Her right hand rests on the upper left edge of a large oval shield bearing the crosses of St George and St Andrew (the Union Flag). Krause (Standard Catalogue of World Coins) indicates a Proof of this date with the shield on the reverse being heraldically colored. This listing shows up at least as early as the 3rd Edition (1990?) of Collecting World Coins. This is not listed in Spink, Peck, or others. Confirmation needed. |
