Farthing Coins of Cyprus
|
The Shilling of Cyprus was divided into 9 units called Piastres. Though not a farthing either in name or equivalent value, the quarter-piastre
was the quarter part of the basic unit which made up a shilling. Because the piastre was worth one and a third pence, the quarter-piastre was
really the equivalent of a third-penny rather than a quarter-penny. However given it's size (roughly the same as the British farthing) and that
it was the fourth-part of the piastre, it is included in this list.
